Established drainage sink hole at edge of driveway to adequately drain
water in heavy rain.
Installation of 3 x 2600 gallon polyethylene water tanks. (All tanks
integrated at same level)

New plumbing to use rainwater for all household needs including water

Installation of a 400 watt Lowara household water pressure pump. (Spare
pump also purchased and is in the workshop in case of pump failure)
Installation of a spear and Honda fire-fighter pump and fire fighting
system, with 4 outlets around the perimeter of the house
Installation of large irrigation system for footpath gardens running
off the Honda pump.
Installation of second spear and a 500 watt Lowara pump for electrical
automatic sprinkler system for electrical automatic sprinkler system
for all gardens. (this system can be run off the Honda pump by simple
valve changes).
Installation of a 300 litre Solarhart gas boosted hot water system.
Installation of an Aqua one water filter and tap at kitchen sink.
Electrical
Installation of a 5kwh per day Coastwatch Powersafe Solar Pack. This
gives ample 240 volt power to run the house and irrigation system.
House rewired by electrical contractors.
Appliances
As part of the refurbishment and new solar system, new appliances were
installed to be power efficient yet do a good job.
20 x 17 watt compact fluoro lights
Liebherr 431 litre fridge and matching 431 litre Freezer. (These were
installed in 2004 and are state of the art German appliances for solar
powered houses as they use very small amounts of power).
